HOW WE ARE RUN
As a charity, we follow the rules and regulations laid out by the Charity Commission. We rely heavily on volunteers to fulfill many of the roles within our organisation, and our income is generated by donations and fundraising activities, as well as through our shops.

Trustees
The RSPCA South Bucks Board of trustees govern the charity and provide overall policy direction to achieve its aims, consistent with the charity’s values.

The Board of trustees is constituted as a corporate body and consists of between 5 and 14 elected RSPCA members. The trustees do not receive payment for their involvement. For more information on becoming a trustee, visit our Volunteering section.
Staff
As a charity, we rely mainly on volunteers. We have a range of voluntary positions, including animal fostering, (which takes place in people’s own homes, as we have no local rescue centre), marketing, administration, fundraising, education, or working in one of our charity shops. For more details about volunteering see our Volunteering section.
Funding our work
Our charity relies on support from the general public. We do not receive any financial help from the government.

Donations
At RSPCA South Bucks, we need monetary donations from the public to fund our vital work. Anything you can give will help us foster, rehabilitate and rehome more animals in need. Many people also like to remember us in their Will. For information on donating, visit our Give section.

Charity shops
We raise a large proportion of our income by selling donated goods at our two RSPCA charity shops. Our shops are run by a blend of volunteers and paid staff. We accept all sorts of donations, such as clothes, crockery, ornaments, books, toys, etc. Our shops are very well supported by the local community both for donations and purchases. For more information on our shops, see our Volunteering or Our shops sections.

Fundraising
We rely on fundraising to support our work, and are keen to assist people who would like to raise money for our branch. For example, you could hold a jumble sale or a sponsored event. Get in touch if you’d like our help. We are always looking to increase our fundraising activities, so let us know your ideas.

We also attend local events, such as fetes and fun days, to collect donations for our work. Check our social media for where we will be next.
