Adoptober

This month is Adoptober here at the RSPCA. We want to encourage more people to consider adopting and fostering pets, as well as highlighting some of the amazing animals in our care waiting to find their forever homes.

Before deciding to adopt from us, it is important to make sure you can provide a suitable home for an animal.

You will need to be able to provide:

·       a nutritional and balanced diet for your pet

·       management of any health conditions they may have

·       appropriate accommodation for the animal which allows them to feel safe, secure and happy

·       exercise appropriate for the pet’s needs

·       love and commitment towards the animal – an animal is for life.

You will need to ensure you have the means to pay for all care including vet appointments and treatments. This will most likely include taking out pet insurance. Some owners save a regular amount each month to use for funding of any future treatments.
