Bonsai and Nina came into our care separately, when their owners could no longer look after them. Bonsai is 18 months old and is a large, friendly rabbit. Nina is a small, gentle, inquisitive rabbit that had been kept in a tiny hutch with no exercise space. She is now loving having the space to explore.

Since coming to us, the pair has been bonded and now enjoy living together. Bonsai is fond of being hand fed treats, enjoys strokes, and likes interacting with anyone who visits him. He is always the first to explore and to come over and check you out. These two have a close bond, so he often settles down next to Nina. Bonsai takes the lead when it comes to foraging for food and Nina, being the more nimble of the pair, is keen on having a little run and play.

Nina takes a little more time to trust people and has made great progress in allowing people to stroke her. Now she has Bonsai by her side, her confidence has increased greatly. Once they see you coming, they are ready to greet you by hopping around your feet in the hope that you have brought them some tasty leaves.

Bonsai and Nina appreciate plenty of shelter to cosy up together, so a large hutch and predator-proof run 3m x 2m x 1m high is essential. They are both neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped and if you are looking for gentle, friendly rabbit companions, then this pair could be for you. We are happy to advise on setting up a rabbit-friendly environment, so if you can provide a welfare-sized home for them, Nina and Bonsai would be delighted to meet you. The pair can live with children 5+.

Could these two friends be the bunnies you are looking for?
